Yet another band I saw a while ago but didn’t appreciate at the time and wish I could go back and do it again. I saw them at the Philadelphia Church with Dillinger at what was their singer greg’s first show, so I was ready for destruction and was impatient during Isis’s set. It was just soooo sloowwww. But then I heard Oceanic after the fact and it all clicked. Pretty classic record in my opinion.
I really like James Blake but I bought this mostly to have Fall Creek Boys Choir- the collaboration between Blake and Justin Vernon aka Bon Iver. There’s been a ton of great music this year but if I had to pick a single favorite song of 2011, this would be it. Take a listen below.
hey everybody, so awhile back (couple years??) we were asked to contribute a her breath on glass song to the time as a color split 7” subscription series, well that record is finally out, it came out pretty cool im happy with it, it is a split w/ i found myslef in austin texas, and bail. comes in a well done chip cardboard sleeve, stamped and #d, also has a small zine with writings from all the bands. we have very very few of them (7 to be exact), if you want one i put a little her breath lot sale up at the store.
People in our country fly from the west coast to the east (similiar distance as your coasts') to see bands tour (a lot don't come to the west) and yet you have a million people asking for exact cities 20 minutes away from them. Fuck that. Come to my COUNTRY (Australia) and i'll fucking be there!
haha fair enough. to each their own. but i do hear that- traveling to see a band is a ton of fun and always feels special. Used to drive all over the country to see bands. Andy and I actually flew across the country to see modern life is war’s lost show. cuz we’re dorks like that. Australia- top place we want to go. we’ll get there eventually.
If you could turn back the clock/time travel to release a split with one band that isn't a band anymore, who would you want to release it with, and then also who is answering, I think Andy predominantly answers these.... but I'm curious.
Nah its a mix of everyone in the band reading and answering. this time it’s aaron. good question - personally, for me, this day forward or malady. i’m not sure if they are technically active again but i’d add la quiete to that list as well
Sorry to bother again. Just wanted to say that I missed you guys in Malmö because I was in the Netherlands visiting my girlfriend at the time. And that's why we were going to see you guys in Germany instead. But we couldn't get a ride there when ours cancelled last second. Anyway, Stockholm, Sweden to be precise! Please come soon! I'd love to hook you guys up to play a show with Suis La Lune and some other local bands, since I'm in a band with some members from there. They'd love it.
not a bother at all. we would love to make it back to your country. we will get there again for sure
While we're all begging you to play places, I wrote that you're Boston-based in the last Punknews story about you, so you should play here. Is that accurate? Should I describe you guys differently, location-wise, in the future?
ah nah man half of us are spread out in other parts of the northeast but it’s all good. some in boston, some in new jersey, some in new york city. fun fact- we’ve never actually lived in the same state- ever. we’re fuckin weird.
