more updates, it is all a hazy warm blur, but all is going well, aaron is being massaged right now by raf. that is the kind of day it is,
thank you cologne, our apologies to all that could not get into the show, and thanks to all who bought tickets and sold it out, tonight was fun, we are bruised, but smiling. so thank you.
you want to know what we look like sleeping? here you go, just imagine if this was your house? in other words thank you to everyone who has given us a place to stay, we know it can be a lot having 9 of us take over your home, you have some good karma coming your way.
this is our super van, mini bus, his name is “street justice”, got some bunks in there, i can actually stand up inside, M.I.A and the National have travelled in it before us, yup dorky i know.
and finally, i just want to offer our sincerest apologies to all of you who have come out hoping to get a copy of the tour press of After the Lights, all i can say is we severely underestimated the interest for it, we only have enough to sell about 5 a show for the rest of tour, so seriously if you want one, come early. the rest of you we are talking to Topshelf about doing something nice to make it up to you, hopefully we will have details soon, and there are still some of the limited black/orange (or as we call it “fire” vinyl) left in the topshelf site, so get on that.
so we love it too, but we sold 1/3 of what we had tonight then had to put a cap on it and turn people away so it will last a few days, so the point is if you want one please come early to the shows and buy early as we will be limiting each night so they can last a bit,
in other news berlin (or as i call it jeffs debut) was awesome, it is such an unreal feeling to be so far from home and have the first show completely sell out, so thank you all who came.
we are about to go to some college rock german dance party and stroll by the berlin wall, get a little silly perhaps sleep a little, then wake up shake the dust and roll on to more german adventures hamburg we are coming for you and your record stores.
come say hello, my goal is to find the yeah yeah yeahs fever to tell on vinyl this tour so come out to the show with one and ill make it worth your while.
also skeletons killed it tonight, best ive seen em.
our bus is tight. or is it a super van im not sure, im told we will watch encino man in it tomm, and rock some play station 2.
thats what she said has started, tsl is at 9, skeletons at a sad sad 2,
just bought a late, late bucharest-hamburg roundtrip plane ticket. always hoped i'd be able to catch you on this tour and at the very last minute it looks like it's happening. can't describe how stoked i am right now. see you guys on saturday.
PropertyOfZack is thrilled to be bringing you a brand new 10Of’11 feature from Topshelf Records that includes Pswingset, Coping, and The Saddest Landscape. Check them out below and make sure to check back every day for more!
Before this repress, this album has been one of my “white whales” as a vinyl nerd. I’ve been hell bent on owning the original split green/pink Mightier Than Sword pressing… but at no point have I ever been willing to drop $170 for it on ebay (I like it, but I don’t like it THAT much). Luckily, this just got repressed on a similar color scheme and I was more than happy to drop a respectable $25 for it.
This album is surprisingly great (let’s be honest, blink 182 making a mature/serious record had all the cards stacked against it), but they more than pulled it off in my opinion. Solid pop punky rock record. Resurrecting the etching on the d side was a nice touch but it’s subtle and hard to capture a proper photo of it.
Well-renowned screamo band, The Sandiest Landscape, have recently been signed to Opentomb Records, home to such bands as Water Becomes The Wine, Temple! Temple! (I Was A Hasidic Jew), and The Synagogue Is A Sanctified Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Pray.
Hey dudes. Are you guys still playing at 13th Note in Glasgow on the 13th January or are you now playing Edinburgh that night instead? That would suck if true, but it might just be a rumour I heard going about.
We’ve been getting a lot of tour related questions lately so I’m going to sum this up in one answer: unless No Decline, We Were Skeletons, or The Saddest Landscape announce anything tour related don’t believe the hype.
Anything that is TBA will be announced within the next few weeks.
Now that that is out of the way to ease any and all worrying here’s a poorly photoshopped black metal kitten eating poptarts:
The Saddest Landscape’s new record After the Lights is now available for pre-order! That felt great to be able to type. This is a band Seth and I are fortunate to have been able to work with in the past in releasing a few splits but to be able to help them in releasing their new full…
